Since this is just a compilation, let me share with you something relatively unrelated. Today I came across something that I wrote a while ago, to a girl that I used to like (and almost dated). So, this has nothing to do with the current model here (Jenny).

A lot of people have a lot of different reasons for photography. Some people want to make a difference in the world with their photography, some people love to create the impossible and the surreal, some people do it for a job, some people share it as a form of art... For me, photography is about emotions and memories. It’s like looking through a kaleidoscope cast by my past, present, and hopes of the future. If I can just share what I feel/felt through my pictures, through a scene captured as a still moment in time, then I'm happy. So, as you see me progress, you'll see more and more of those emotional images finding their way to you.

Portraits

I painted them hundreds of times
eyes closed. These I painted blind.
Some things never leave a person.
Scent of the hair of one you love,
the sweet laughter in your ear,
the memories you've shared.

I collect words, thoughts, ideas, dreams.
I plant them in the soil
and water them with love,
Patience, trust, and determination.

Everytime I close my eyes,
I paint a portrait of you...

So what exactly have I been feeling lately? I feel like I've been intentionally keeping myself busy so I can avoid feeling at all... Despite the beautiful people I meet and photograph, I've been feeling sad and lonely. It's ironic, isn't it? The times when you are the most social can be the times when you are the loneliest. Bleh, enough spilling. Enjoy the picture.
