I find that each time I work on a photo, I have a general idea of what I want it to look like... but during the course of my editing, it morphs with a life of its own. This picture, in particular, morphed into something that was much more than what I originally intended. I find this process quite intriguing, since I almost can never produce the same exact image twice. Maybe that's why this is art, eh? This photo takes some traits from an old style photo, reminiscent of the 60's. It also has a film noir flare to it. I must say... it's quite different from most of my previous work! Comments and suggestions always appreciated! Thanks! Full view, and you'd be able to see the grain  --------------------------------------------------------------- So, after a day of sitting on it and listening to the comments from you guys, I toned down the highlights on the face / hair a bit to show more features in Amber's face and more defined hair in her reflection. However, if you compare this one against the old one, you'll see that the old one may be more artistic... the faded face of the original amber drew a much deeper gaze towards the reflection, which captivates the viewer's attentions. Anyways, if enough of you tell me you like the original one, I'll put it back up  . |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
